Cevalo's Lesson Horses

Cevalo currently has 20 horses who form the core of our riding program. In addition to the horses that Cevalo owns or leases as school horses, we are very fortunate to have several boarders who allow us to use their horses in lessons on a part-time basis.

Amber

Amber is a chestnut Morgan with a flaxen mane and tail who has helped many of our new students get comfortable in the saddle and build their confidence.

Buddy

Buddy is a bay Quarterhorse that our intermediate and advanced riders really enjoy jumping.

Buster

Buster is a bay Arab ridden by our more advanced beginner and intermediate riders.

Cody

Cody is a dark bay Mustang who is very popular with our more advanced beginner and intermediate riders.

Dolly

When Dolly first joined us, she was keeping a big secret--she surpised us one July morning with a gorgeous little filly! After a maternity break, Dolly rejoined our lesson program and is doing great. Her filly, Freyja, is now a rambunctious 2 year old who is learning fast in her ground lessons with our advanced students.

Drifter

Drifter is a sweet chestnut mare who helps our young beginners get started.

Freyja

Freyja just turned 2 in July, but our advanced students are doing ground-work with her and getting her used to being groomed and fussed over.

Maple

Maple is a young Haflinger cross that our more advanced students are helping train for the lesson program.

Melody

Melody is a bay Thoroughbred who is settling in nicely as a mount for our intermediate riders.

Montana

Montana is a paint quarterhorse that our youngest riders absolutely adore.

Moon

Moon is a chestnut Quarterhorse ridden by our advanced beginnner and intermediate riders.

Oliver

Ollie is a *big* gray Canadian Sporthorse ridden by our advanced beginnner and intermediate riders. A true gentle giant, Ollie has a real puppy-dog personality.

Oreo

Oreo is a leopard Appaloosa ridden by our advanced beginner and intermediate riders.

Penny

Penny is an adorable little pony who came to us because her vision is failing. She completely trusts her riders to steer her away from trouble, and is the sweetest, most gentle pony you could ever hope to meet.

Pippin

Pippin is a chestnut Argentinian Thoroughbred who is a little shy, but absolutely wonderful with kids.

Poco

Poco is a young bay Quarterhorse ridden by our intermediate and advanced riders.

Scampy

Scampy is a dark bay Morgan who helps our beginning riders get started.

Son

Son is a flea-bitten gray Thoroughbred ridden by our intermediate and advanced riders. (A few lucky beginners get to ride him in lead-line lessons.)

Splash

Splash is a paint Quarterhorse who is always ready to go, even though she's one of our senior citizens. Our intermediate riders love her sweet personality and responsiveness.

Wyck

Wyck is a dark bay Icelandic horse that our advanced beginners and up all love to ride.
